Seriously, Are You Confused by GDPR?
It IS a complex area.
And one of the biggest GDPR problems I see is not using available tools to help you. A lot of people think you need to hand-craft all your compliance statements on your website. It's not true! Automattic have just released WordPress 4.9, and you should update your WordPress code immediately.
Below this article, there's a link to what the new release covers.
It's vital that you update your WordPress code when a new release comes out. Automattic recommend that you back up your site before updating.
